As you blow-dry, run your fingers through your hair instead of using a brush to create texture, Fugate says. Then slick hair into a super-high pony—it should sit at your crown. Loosely braid the top three inches of the ponytail, and secure the braided section with an elastic. "Gently pull on a few random pieces of the braid to mess it up a bit, which will make it look funkier," Fugate explains. Wrap the braid around the base of the ponytail, pin in place, and let the rest of your pony fall free to the side. Curl the ends for extra bounce.
